Debbie Parlakchief the creator of Doll Face is a mother with three young children.  With a daughter who loves makeup it got Debbie thinking on what Eva was putting into her young delicate skin.  With the mineral makeup industry just starting to hit the headlines Debbie decided to do some research. 

After reading the ingredient lists of a few makeup labels and researching what the ingredients were and the effect they were having on our health, Debbie started formulating her own line of safe Mineral Cosmetics.

Mineral Makeup is cosmetics that are solely or mostly made from earth’s natural minerals.  These are rocks in their solid form, then milled and processed into the powder that is safe for cosmetic use.  Not all mineral makeup is the same.  There are some natural mineral powders that Doll Face is free from.  For example Doll face does not contain Bismuth Oxychloride, a natural mineral but is well known to be a major skin irritant.  Paraben Preservative’s, although a highly effective preservative, studies have shown major health concerns after long term exposure to humans.

There are a lot of synthetic cosmetic ingredients that are also non harmful.  Silicones are a great choice for primers and can make the skin look amazing under foundation.

Doll Face is a New Zealand made and formulated brand that targets females aged mid teens to late 30’s.  The products and colours are highly suited to these age ranges, with fun bold colours right to the muted natural tones.  Doll face is a fresh funky brand that is affordable to suit all budgets.
